9th Grade Football Information

Football Prospect Meeting AGENDA for rising 9th graders - Eligibility - All 9th grade students are eligible according to NCHSAA Guidelines. Students must maintain their eligibility throughout the next 8 semesters.
- Physicals - (TBA) We will call with information concerning physicals as we get close to the end of school.
- Junior Varsity Football Schedule - JV schedule is on the reverse of this sheet.
- Strength & Conditioning - Tuesday and Thursday for rising 7-9th graders from 4:30 until 6:00 pm through May 28
- Summer Weights - The weight room will be open this summer to give Junior Varsity and Varsity Players an opportunity to work on strength and conditioning. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate player's summer schedules. (9th grade)
- Summer Practice - We are planning Summer Practice Sessions to work on football fundamentals. As we progress through the summer we will begin to develop our offensive and defensive schemes. Summer practice sessions will be in the early evening three days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The sessions will begin June 15. (9th grade)
- Appalachian State Football Camp - Individual Skill and Team Sessions in Boone July 6, 7, 8. (9-12th grade)
- Fund Raiser to pay for ASU Camp - Gameday Marketing cookie dough sale May 18 through May 29.(9-12th grade)
- 7 on 7 and Linemen Drills - We have two date scheduled for 7 on 7 and Lineman Drills with other schools this summer. The first is at Owen with other schools to be announced, Wednesday, July 15 at 10:00 am. The second is at Rosman with other schools to be announced, Thursday, July 16 at 5:00 pm. (9-12th grade)
